NHS Dental Services on the Isle of Wight

NHS dental services have been in the spotlight for a number of years throughout England and have recently received a lot of negative feedback. The main area of concern for people is a lack of access.

Many national reports have been published recently including one by Healthwatch England. Healthwatch Isle of Wight recognise this is a national issue, however it is important to note that travelling to a dental surgery in a neighbouring county, which is an option throughout most of England, is neither practical nor affordable for the majority of people that live on the Isle of Wight which compounds the issues relating to the lack of dental provision that is available on the Island.
