Healthwatch Isle of Wight has been commissioned by the Isle of Wight Clinical Commissioning Group to engage with local people to find out their needs around primary health care to ensure that people can access the primary care services they need, when they need them.
From 30th September 2017, as part of a government pilot scheme, there is now a range of routine (pre-booked) appointments for GPs, Practice Nurses and other health care workers, outside of people`s GP surgery's normal opening hours and some of these may be offered at other GP surgeries. Initially this is for a limited range of consultations and appointments as GP practices look at what their patients need.
Healthwatch Isle of Wight will be asking local people to complete a survey about their primary care needs and will make sure that the anonymised results of the feedback will go directly to GP surgeries and commissioners to influence the future provision of primary care services on the Isle of Wight.

The closing date is Wednesday 28th February 2018.
